A Kalash Yatra, featuring 101 young girls, marked the beginning of a 24-hour Ashtyam in the region, transforming the atmosphere into one of devotion and spiritual fervor. Large numbers of devotees gathered for the religious event, filling the air with chants and hymns.

The girls participating in the Kalash Yatra were dressed in traditional attire, carrying sacred pots (kalash) on their heads. The procession traversed the main streets of the village, where residents showered them with flowers in welcome. The Ashtyam is a continuous 24-hour prayer and chanting session, primarily organized to invoke peace and prosperity. Organizers stated that the event aims to infuse positive energy into the community and bring happiness and tranquility to everyone's lives. Local and visiting bhajan mandalis (devotional music groups) are actively participating, enhancing the spiritual ambiance with their melodious renditions.

A grand 'bhandara' (community feast) has also been arranged, serving prasad to thousands of attendees. Robust security measures are in place to ensure order. Local administration has extended its support for the event. Villagers believe such gatherings strengthen community unity and brotherhood, offering the younger generation an opportunity to connect with their culture and traditions. The event will conclude the following day with a 'purnahuti' (final offering) and further distribution of prasad.
