A tragic incident has been reported from Forbesganj in Araria district, where a 12-year-old student died due to a snakebite. The incident occurred near a school campus in Forbesganj, casting a pall of gloom over the area.

According to information, the deceased student was identified as Rohit Kumar, a 7th-grade student. The incident took place on Monday morning when Rohit was on his way to school. He was bitten by a venomous snake near the school premises. Rohit cried out in pain, attracting the attention of nearby residents and his family members.

His family immediately rushed Rohit to a local hospital. However, due to his critical condition, doctors referred him for better treatment. The family then took Rohit to Araria Sadar Hospital, where after initial treatment, he was referred to Purnia due to his deteriorating state. Tragically, Rohit passed away on the way to Purnia.

The incident has plunged Rohit's family into deep mourning. His relatives are inconsolable, and a somber atmosphere prevails in the village and school. Locals stated that the threat of snakes is common in the area, especially during the rainy season. They have appealed to the administration to take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from recurring and have expressed concerns about children's safety.
