A tragic incident has unfolded in Darbhanga district, Bihar, where a 14-year-old boy drowned in the Khiroi River. The incident has sparked widespread anger among local villagers, who subsequently blocked a major road to protest against alleged administrative negligence. The boy reportedly drowned while attempting to cross the river.

Eyewitnesses stated that the teenager had gone to the riverbank with his friends. Due to the monsoon season, the river's water level was high and the current was strong. It is suspected that he was swept into deeper waters while trying to cross. Upon receiving the news, locals and family members rushed to the scene. After hours of effort, the boy's body was recovered from the river.
