The All India Students' Association (AISA) staged a strong protest at Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU) in Madhepura, demonstrating against the New Education Policy (NEP), the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP), and the mandatory 7.5 CGPA requirement. Students gathered at the university campus, holding a sit-in and chanting slogans to voice their demands. AISA alleges that NEP and FYUP are imposing an additional burden on students and making education more expensive.

Student leaders argued that FYUP is not suitable for students' academic careers as it forces them to study for an extra year unnecessarily, with unclear benefits. They also deemed the 7.5 CGPA mandate impractical, especially for students from rural backgrounds and economically weaker sections who often lack adequate resources. AISA demanded the immediate withdrawal of these policies and reforms to the education system in the interest of students.

Protesting students also met with the university administration and submitted a memorandum of their demands. They warned of intensifying their movement if their concerns are not addressed. AISA stated that they would continue to fight for students' rights and ensure their voices are heard. A large number of students participated in the protest, united in supporting their demands, shouting slogans like 'Roll back NEP', 'Stop FYUP', and 'Abolish 7.5 CGPA mandate'.
