In a significant operation, police in Jehanabad district's Ratni Musahari area successfully seized a large quantity of illicit liquor. However, the liquor trader managed to escape from the scene just before the police arrived. This incident is part of an ongoing campaign against illegal alcohol trade in the district.

According to information received, the police had been tipped off about large-scale storage and sale of illicit liquor in the Ratni Musahari area. Acting on this intelligence, a police team promptly raided the location. During the raid, police recovered a substantial amount of both country-made and foreign liquor bottles. The estimated value of the seized alcohol is in lakhs of rupees.

Police sources stated that by the time the team reached the spot, the trader had become aware of their presence and used the cover of darkness to flee. The police have identified the trader and are continuously conducting raids to apprehend him. Authorities have assured that the trader will be arrested soon and strict legal action will be taken against him.

This operation is part of a special drive by Jehanabad police to curb the illegal liquor business.
