Two youths sustained serious injuries in a road accident late Saturday night within the Amarpur police station area of Banka district. The incident occurred while they were returning from a tilak ceremony. The injured have been identified as 22-year-old Ravi Kumar and 20-year-old Gulshan Kumar, both residents of Bhaluka village, also under the Amarpur police station. According to information received, the two youths were riding a motorcycle back to their home in Bhaluka village from a tilak ceremony. Their bike lost control and crashed on the Amarpur-Shahkund main road.

The accident was severe, leaving both youths with serious injuries after falling onto the road. With the help of local residents, they were immediately rushed to Amarpur Referral Hospital. After initial treatment, doctors, noting their critical condition, referred them to Bhagalpur for advanced medical care. Ravi Kumar reportedly suffered a severe head injury, while Gulshan Kumar also sustained injuries to other parts of his body.

The police, upon receiving information about the incident, arrived at the scene, seized the damaged motorcycle, and have initiated an investigation into the matter. This incident once again highlights the importance of road safety. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution while returning home late at night from ceremonies and other events. The use of helmets and driving at controlled speeds can help prevent such accidents. The families of the injured are in distress following the incident and are praying for their speedy recovery.
