In Andhratharhi, Madhubani district, the immersion of Durga idols concluded peacefully on Thursday. Idols from Vaishnavi Durga Sthan in Andhratharhi market and Marukiya were immersed. After ten days of devout worship, devotees' eyes welled up during the farewell to Maa Durga, making the entire atmosphere emotional.

The idols were transported from the puja pandals to the immersion sites on tractor-trolleys. During the procession, devotees chanted slogans and danced to devotional songs. After performing rituals, prayers, and aarti at the immersion sites, Maa Durga was bid farewell with teary eyes. Devotees prayed for her return next year.

Andhratharhi police were fully alert to maintain peace and order during the immersion program. Under the leadership of Station Head Jitesh Kumar Mishra, the police team kept a close watch on the security of the processions. Due to the police's active involvement and robust arrangements, the immersion program concluded peacefully without any untoward incidents reported. The atmosphere of temples and pandals, which resonated with devotional songs during Navratri, became emotional during the immersion, but the devotees' faith remained strong. The festive atmosphere subsided with the farewell.
