A serious incident has come to light at the Saur Bazar Community Health Center (CHC) in Saharsa district. A patient has accused an ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) working there of demanding money for medicines during distribution. The aggrieved patient has filed a written complaint with the CHC in-charge, demanding strict legal action against the accused ANM.

The accusation has been made by Sadhucharan Paswan, a resident of Bakri Ward No. 11, Sahuria Paschimi Panchayat, Saur Bazar block. Paswan stated in his complaint that he visited the Saur Bazar CHC for treatment on Friday. After being examined by a doctor, he was directed to the medicine distribution counter, from where he was sent to Room No. 5. According to Sadhucharan Paswan, ANM Surbhi Kumari, stationed in Room No. 5, allegedly demanded money from him in exchange for providing medicines.

The patient also alleged that despite the treating doctor not prescribing an injection on his slip, the ANM administered one. This incident raises questions about the hospital's operational procedures. Sadhucharan Paswan has demanded an impartial investigation into the entire matter.

When contacted, Saur Bazar CHC In-charge Dr. Amit Kumar stated that the matter has not yet come to his attention. Dr. Kumar assured that upon receiving the complaint, the entire incident would be thoroughly investigated, and if the allegations are found to be true, strict action would be taken in accordance with the rules.
