Residents of Araria district are advised to prepare for a significant power outage on July 1st, starting from 9 AM. The electricity department has announced that power supply will be disrupted for approximately six hours due to essential technical maintenance work. This planned power cut will affect several key areas, impacting daily routines and businesses.

The Executive Engineer of the electricity department stated that maintenance and necessary repair work will be carried out on all 11 KV feeders emanating from the 33/11 KV Naya Bypass Power Sub-station. During this period, all areas connected to the Bypass Power Sub-station will experience a complete shutdown of electricity.

The affected areas include a large part of Araria city, specifically Naya Bypass, Purani Bypass, the vicinity of Millia Engineering College, Shivpuri, Parmanandpur, Rampur, Kharaiya Basti, Bus Stand, ADB Chowk, Kali Mandir, Chandni Chowk, and other surrounding localities. Consumers in these areas are advised to make alternative arrangements for their electricity needs during the outage.

The electricity department has appealed for cooperation from consumers, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused. They emphasized that this technical work is crucial for strengthening the power infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted supply in the future. Power supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the work.
