A one-day Solar Fair cum Solar Loan Fair will be organized on August 13 at the Electricity Office Ground located on Raniganj Marg in Araria city. The primary objective of this fair is to provide comprehensive information and necessary assistance to consumers interested in installing rooftop solar panels under the Prime Minister Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.

Various agencies will showcase their rooftop solar panel products at the fair, where consumers can obtain detailed information about solar panels, inverters, and other related equipment. For the convenience of consumers, on-the-spot application facilities have been arranged at the fair. Junior Electrical Engineers from all sub-divisions will be present to assist with the application process under the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.

Officials and representatives from various banks will also be present at the Solar Loan Fair. They will provide information to consumers about available loan options for installing solar panels, the application process, required documents, and financial benefits. Gaurav Kumar, Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department, has appealed to all electricity consumers in the district to attend the fair. He informed that 69 solar panels have been installed in the district so far, and the department aims to connect more consumers with this scheme to enable them to benefit from rooftop solar and save on electricity costs.
