The judicial process in the high-profile Tanishq showroom gold heist case in Arrah is now moving towards its final stages. The testimony of the Investigating Officer (IO) and Nagar Police Station SHO, Devraj Rai, commenced in the honorable court on July 28. Bhojpur SP Raj informed that Devraj Rai, designated as the IO for the Tanishq showroom robbery case, is now recording his statement in court.

The Police Superintendent stated that approximately 20 witnesses have already testified in this high-profile case. The police aim to conclude the entire testimony process by the last week of August, ensuring that all criminals involved in the incident receive severe punishment through the court.

It is noteworthy that on March 10, 2025, a major daylight robbery occurred at the Tanishq showroom near Sheesh Mahal Chowk in the Town Police Station area of Arrah city. Seven armed criminals stormed the showroom and looted gold and diamond jewelry worth approximately 10.50 crore rupees. The incident caused a stir in the area.

Immediately after the incident, the police launched a manhunt for the criminals. During their escape, a direct encounter took place between the police and the criminals near Babura in the Barhara police station area. In the encounter, two notorious criminals from Saran district, Vishal Gupta and Kunal, were injured by police gunfire. The police recovered two country-made pistols, ten live cartridges, and two bags full of jewelry looted from the Tanishq showroom from the criminals at the scene.
