औरंगाबाद जिले में अवैध शराब के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत पुलिस ने एक बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर, पुलिस ने एक स्कॉर्पियो वाहन से भारी मात्रा में विदेशी शराब बरामद की है। इस स्कॉर्पियो पर 'BPRO' लिखा हुआ था, जिससे यह प्रतीत होता है कि इसका उपयोग किसी सरकारी या आधिकारिक कार्य के लिए किया जा रहा था, लेकिन हकीकत में इसे शराब तस्करी के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा था।
पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, वाहन में ड्राइवर सहित तीन लोग सवार थे। पुलिस को देखते ही ड्राइवर और एक अन्य व्यक्ति मौके से फरार होने में सफल रहे। हालांकि, पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए एक व्यक्ति को घटनास्थल से गिरफ्तार कर लिया। गिरफ्तार व्यक्ति से पूछताछ की जा रही है ताकि इस शराब तस्करी रैकेट के अन्य सदस्यों और इसके स्रोत तक पहुंचा जा सके।
बरामद शराब की कीमत लाखों रुपये में बताई जा रही है। पुलिस ने स्कॉर्पियो वाहन को भी जब्त कर लिया है और इसकी जांच की जा रही है कि क्या यह वाहन चोरी का है या इसके मालिक का संबंध शराब माफिया से है। इस घटना से एक बार फिर यह स्पष्ट हो गया है कि शराबबंदी के बावजूद बिहार में अवैध शराब का धंधा फल-फूल रहा है और तस्कर नए-नए तरीके अपनाकर कानून को धता बताने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। पुलिस का कहना है कि वे इस मामले में शामिल सभी अपराधियों को जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार कर सलाखों के पीछे भेजेंगे। इस प्रकार की कार्रवाई से शराब माफियाओं में भय का माहौल बनेगा और अवैध शराब के कारोबार पर अंकुश लगाने में मदद मिलेगी।
