Travel between Aurangabad and Patna in Bihar is set to become significantly smoother and faster with the National Highway-139 (NH-139) upgrading to a four-lane road. This crucial project, now finalized, aims to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce travel time on this vital route. As part of the plan, four major bypasses will be constructed, helping vehicles circumvent crowded urban areas.

The widening of NH-139 will not only improve local commutes but also establish direct connectivity with the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway. This link is expected to play a pivotal role in connecting Bihar to major cities in eastern and northern India, thereby boosting trade and tourism. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has given its approval for the project, and work is anticipated to begin soon.
