Residents and traders in Goh, Aurangabad, expressed their anger on Wednesday morning by blocking major roads due to severe waterlogging. The protests erupted at Jagatpati Chowk, where the Gaya-Daudnagar NH-120 and Shivganj-Hyderabad State Path-68 were completely shut down. Demonstrators also forced the closure of local markets, bringing traffic to a standstill on both key routes.

The villagers stated that the area has been suffering from persistent waterlogging due to inadequate drainage systems for a long time. The situation has worsened significantly after recent rains, causing immense difficulties for pedestrians, shopkeepers, and motorists. Protesters are demanding a permanent solution to the drainage problem, asserting that mere assurances will not suffice. They are insistent on the presence of the District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) at the site.

The agitated locals declared that the road blockade would not be lifted until responsible officials arrive and guarantee a lasting resolution to the waterlogging issue. The blockade led to long queues of vehicles on both NH-120 and State Path-68, severely disrupting traffic. Upon receiving information, a team of administrative officials, led by the BDO, arrived at the scene and attempted to negotiate with the protesters. However, the residents remained firm on their demands. As of 10 AM, the blockade continued, with protests ongoing for a permanent solution.
