Khusrupur, Patna: Residents of Ward No. 16 in Baikathpur Panchayat, under Khusrupur block, are facing severe difficulties as sewage water from overflowing drains has inundated the main road. The continuous accumulation of dirty water has made commuting extremely challenging for locals and pedestrians, who are forced to wade through mud and contaminated water.

According to residents, the problem has persisted for a long time due to irregular drain cleaning and an inadequate drainage system. The situation worsens significantly during the rainy season. The stagnant water on the road is spreading filth and slush, polluting the surrounding environment. Villagers fear the spread of infections and various diseases as a result.

Local resident Deepak Yadav stated that the ward's inhabitants have been struggling with this issue for a considerable period. Despite numerous complaints, no permanent solution has been found yet. He urged officials from the concerned department and public representatives to take immediate action. Residents allege that the poor drainage infrastructure is the primary reason for the sewage overflowing onto the streets.

Villagers have appealed to the administration to promptly clean the drains, improve the drainage system, and find a lasting solution to the problem of sewage water on the road. Furthermore, they have requested Arun Shah, the public representative for the Bakhtiyarpur assembly constituency, to visit the area, assess the situation, and raise this serious concern with the authorities. The community now awaits action from the responsible departments to alleviate their long-standing predicament.
