A devastating fire broke out on Saturday evening in a parts shop located in the Old Bypass area of Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, resulting in the tragic deaths of two women and a six-month-old baby. The fire quickly intensified, engulfing the shop and spreading rapidly. Shop owner Pankaj Saw and his son Prateek managed to escape and raised an alarm, drawing neighbors to the scene.

Upon receiving the information, local police and fire brigade teams promptly arrived. Firefighters worked for hours to bring the blaze under control. After the fire was extinguished, a search began for those trapped inside the house. During the search, two women and a six-month-old baby were found and brought out. All three were immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

The deceased have been identified as Reema Devi (45), wife of Pankaj Kumar; Geeta Devi, Pankaj Kumar's mother-in-law; and six-month-old Ashok Sundari. Ashok Sundari is reportedly the daughter of Shivam Sah from Hisua, Nawada, and was the granddaughter of a neighbor. Following this heartbreaking incident, the hospital was filled with the cries of grieving family members, and a pall of gloom has descended over the entire area. SDPO and other police officials visited the hospital to gather information. The police are investigating the cause of the fire and taking further action.
