In a significant joint operation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have successfully apprehended three notorious mobile phone snatchers at Bakhtiyarpur railway station. The operation also led to the recovery of six stolen mobile phones of various brands from the arrested individuals. This action marks a crucial step towards enhancing passenger safety and curbing mobile theft incidents on moving trains and platforms.

According to police sources, there had been a recent surge in mobile snatching incidents at Bakhtiyarpur and surrounding railway stations, creating an atmosphere of fear among commuters. Responding to these complaints, the RPF and GRP formed a special team and began monitoring suspicious activities. Intelligence inputs and CCTV footage aided in identifying the culprits.

During Thursday's operation, police laid a trap and caught the three accused red-handed.
