बलिया, बिहार। राष्ट्रीय अधिकार संघ के तत्वावधान में बलिया प्रखंड मुख्यालय में गुरुवार को त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव कराने की मांग को लेकर एक दिवसीय धरना प्रदर्शन किया गया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने प्रखंड मुख्यालय से एक विशाल रैली निकाली, जो बलिया बाजार के मुख्य मार्गों से होते हुए अनुमंडल कार्यालय पहुंची। रैली में शामिल लोग 'त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव कराओ', 'आम जनता को उसका अधिकार दो' जैसे नारे लगा रहे थे।
अनुमंडल कार्यालय पहुंचने के बाद संघ के सदस्यों ने अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी (एसडीओ) को एक छह सूत्रीय मांग पत्र सौंपा। मांग पत्र में मुख्य रूप से त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव अविलंब कराने की मांग की गई है, जो पिछले कई वर्षों से लंबित है। संघ का कहना है कि पंचायत चुनाव में देरी से ग्रामीण विकास कार्य प्रभावित हो रहे हैं और आम जनता को स्थानीय स्तर पर अपनी समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए कोई मंच नहीं मिल रहा है।
संघ के अध्यक्ष ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि पंचायत राज व्यवस्था लोकतंत्र की नींव है और इसका सुचारू रूप से संचालन होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। उन्होंने सरकार से आग्रह किया कि वह जल्द से जल्द चुनाव की घोषणा करे और एक निश्चित समय-सीमा के भीतर चुनाव संपन्न कराए। उन्होंने यह भी चेतावनी दी कि यदि उनकी मांगों पर शीघ्र ध्यान नहीं दिया गया, तो संघ भविष्य में और बड़े पैमाने पर आंदोलन करेगा।
इस प्रदर्शन में बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय ग्रामीण, किसान और युवा शामिल हुए। प्रदर्शन शांतिपूर्ण रहा और किसी भी प्रकार की अप्रिय घटना की सूचना नहीं मिली। एसडीओ ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को आश्वासन दिया कि उनके मांग पत्र को संबंधित उच्चाधिकारियों तक पहुंचाया जाएगा। इस मुद्दे पर सरकार का अगला कदम क्या होगा, यह देखना बाकी है।

In his address, the union president emphasized that the Panchayati Raj system is the foundation of democracy and its smooth functioning is crucial. He urged the government to announce elections promptly and complete them within a fixed timeframe. He also warned of larger agitations if their demands are not addressed soon.
Many local villagers, farmers, and youths participated in the peaceful demonstration. The SDO assured the protesters that their demands would be forwarded to higher authorities. The government's next steps on this issue are awaited.
