Panchayat Development Day was observed in all Gram Panchayats of Beldaur Block in Khagaria district on the last Sunday of the month. Development camps were organized in all panchayats of the block, including Telihar Panchayat, on this occasion. The camp held at the Panchayat Sarkar Bhawan in Telihar was jointly inaugurated by Panchayat Mukhiya Anil Singh, Beldaur Block Development Officer (BDO) Prem Kumar Yadav, and Block Panchayati Raj Officer Pramod Kumar Paswan by lighting lamps.

Addressing the panchayat residents present at the camp, BDO Prem Kumar Yadav explained the main objective of 'Panchayat Development Day'. He stated that its goal is to transparently share information about development works undertaken at the panchayat level, the funds spent, and ongoing schemes in various wards with the villagers. The BDO also mentioned that ensuring the active participation of local people, women, and youth in the selection and implementation of development schemes is also an aim. Furthermore, realizing Mahatma Gandhi's dream of Gram Swaraj and making the panchayat a strong center for rural development are important objectives. According to the BDO, identifying local development-related obstacles and outlining future plans are also part of this event.

Mukhiya Anil Singh, in his address, informed that several important committees were formed during this period. These include the Women-Friendly Gram Panchayat Steering Committee, Women's Safety and Gender Justice Committee, Health, Nutrition and Sanitation Committee, Economic Empowerment and Livelihood Committee, Education and Farmer Empowerment Committee, Social Justice and Inclusion Committee, Water, Sanitation and Environment Committee, and Women's Leadership and Participation Committee. He stated that efforts are being made to achieve government targets by preparing the frameworks for these committees. A large number of villagers were present on this occasion.
