Bettiah: In view of the massive rush of devotees for Darshan of Goddess Jagdamba during Shardiya Navratri in Bettiah city, the district and police administration has completely re-designed the traffic system. A detailed root diversion plan has been implemented to provide relief from potential traffic jams in the city's narrow lanes and main roads. The primary objective is to ensure smooth access for devotees to puja pandals and to maintain unhindered movement of emergency vehicles.

For the safety of the मेला area and the convenience of pedestrians, entry of four-wheelers and three-wheelers has been prohibited in major commercial and puja pandal areas. Special restrictions will be in place for vehicle movement in the city's busiest Teen Lalten Chowk, Lal Bazar, and Naya Bazar areas. Additionally, several major roads have been made one-way to prevent head-on collisions and ensure continuous traffic flow.

Along with smooth traffic management, a large number of police personnel have been deployed at every major intersection and pandal premises in the city to keep an eye on miscreants, pickpockets, and suspicious activities. Furthermore, police personnel and officers in plain clothes will be stationed in crowded sensitive areas. The Nagar Thana and Traffic Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration by following the issued route chart, so that everyone can enjoy the puja peacefully with their families.

Key one-way routes include Teen Lalten to Janta Cinema Chowk, Soababu Chowk to Alok Bharti, and Arya Samaj Road. Entry of heavy vehicles will be closed from Bus Stand to Collectorate Chowk. Vehicle movement will be completely restricted in many lanes such as Lal Bazar to Rajduehi Marg and Durgabag to Bengali Colony. Alternative routes have also been designated for vehicles coming from Bairiya/Khiriaghat and Nautan. Parking of heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited near Station Chowk.
