The CT scan center, operating on a PPP model at Bhabhua Sadar Hospital, has been shut down for the past two days. A short circuit on Wednesday evening caused a critical kit of the scan machine to burn out, rendering the service inoperable since Thursday. This has led to significant inconvenience for patients.

Ved Prakash, the center's operator, stated that the machine parts are being procured from outside, and there is a delay in their arrival. He expressed hope that the machine would be repaired within a day or two.

On average, 25 to 30 patients undergo CT scans daily at this center in Sadar Hospital. CT scans are crucial for patients with accidents, head injuries, strokes, and chest-related ailments. With the machine out of order, patients are now forced to visit private centers or are being referred to larger cities like Sasaram and Varanasi, increasing the financial burden on poor patients.

Over the past two days, more than 60 patients have been affected. Patients have urged the district administration to expedite the repair of the machine to alleviate their difficulties.
