A hearing was held in the Arrah Civil Court regarding the Bharat Tiwari encounter case in Jagdishpur, Bhojpur district. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, the lawyer for Bharat Tiwari's family, presented his arguments on 11 points before the court. The court agreed to his submission and sought an updated investigation report from the Superintendent of Police.

After emerging from court, Singh claimed that the Arrah Court had issued non-bailable warrants against 11 individuals involved in the Bharat Tiwari encounter. However, the court clarified that non-bailable warrants have not yet been issued, but rather an update was requested on the 11 points raised by the lawyer.

The lawyer also stated that the court has ordered the arrest and presentation of all these accused in court by August 12. The list of 11 accused includes the then Jagdishpur SDO Sanjeet Kumar, SDPO Rajesh Sharma, Station House Officer Rajesh Malakar, Sub-Inspectors Ankit Aryan and Harishchandra Kumar, STF jawans Akshay Kumar and Vikas Kumar, and ASI Ramashankar Yadav.

So far, only one arrest has been made in the Bharat Tiwari encounter case: STF jawan Akshay Kumar was apprehended by Bhojpur Police. The then SHO Rajesh Malakar has been suspended. Rajesh Sharma was initially made DSP of Excise in Patna but was later line-closed after Bharat Tiwari's family met Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Similarly, the then Jagdishpur SDO Sanjeet Kumar was removed from his post and attached to Patna headquarters.

Advocate Sanjeev Kumar informed that he had filed a petition in the Arrah Court for non-bailable warrants and also sought information regarding the actions taken so far, the investigation report, and the accused named in the FIR. Family members and supporters of Bharat Tiwari had raised serious questions about the police action in his death, and the judicial process is ongoing.
