Four people, including a woman, have tragically died due to drowning in floodwaters across different police station areas of Bhojpur district. The first incident occurred in Bariswan village under Shahpur police station, where a farmer working outside his home drowned in the floodwaters.

The second incident was reported in Teliya ke Garhan, Bhabhangaon village, under Krishnagarh police station, where a finance employee drowned while bathing. The third fatality took place in Dumaria village, Charpokhri police station area, where a woman drowned in a canal while washing her hands and feet after defecating. The fourth incident involved an elderly person who drowned under a bridge in Dharhara village, Nagar police station area, while defecating.

Meanwhile, political rhetoric has intensified over the flood situation in Bihar. Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi took a jibe at BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary, stating that Samrat Chaudhary would drink the floodwaters. This statement comes as 13 districts in the state face flood threats, with the situation remaining critical in many areas.
