The Bihar government has taken a significant step towards modernizing urban transport in the state. In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, proposals for a total of four new rapid rail corridors have been approved. These corridors will connect seven major cities in Bihar, including Patna, significantly reducing travel time and improving connectivity between them.

The objective of this project is to provide a fast and efficient transport system not only within cities but also between them. As per the cabinet's decision, the four approved corridors will link various parts of Bihar, facilitating trade, tourism, and daily commuting. Patna, the state capital, will be a crucial hub in this rapid rail network, directly benefiting its population.

While the four corridors have been approved, detailed routes and construction timelines are yet to be announced. It is expected that the implementation of these projects will accelerate urban development and alleviate congestion.
