A serious case of harassment of female teachers has emerged from a government school in Bahadurpur block, Darbhanga district. A teacher working at the school is accused of calling female teachers to meet him alone with malicious intent, harassing them when they refuse, and blackmailing them with videos.

Female teachers have filed a written complaint with District Education Officer (DEO) Dr. Vidyanand Thakur and District Program Officer (DPO) Awadhesh Kumar regarding the matter. Additionally, an application has been submitted to Sonki police station to register an FIR against the accused teacher.

According to the teachers, the accused teacher forces them to meet him alone and mentally harasses them if they refuse. The complaint also states that when the in-charge headmaster tried to intervene, the accused started demanding commission from the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) funds. Due to the accused teacher's house being near the school, he asserts his dominance and misbehaves with those who oppose him.

Seven female teachers have alleged that the teacher has made videos of them and uses them for blackmail. He openly boasts that no one can harm him. DEO Dr. Vidyanand Thakur stated that the matter is under his cognizance, and an investigation is underway. Appropriate action will be taken according to rules after the investigation report. DPO Awadhesh Kumar also assured prompt investigation and necessary action, taking the complaint seriously.
