A significant employment opportunity has emerged for the youth of Bihar, with the state's health department preparing for a massive recruitment drive for over 11,000 posts. The positions include Staff Nurses, Lab Technicians, Block Health Managers (BHM), NME, managerial roles, and clerical cadres.

Naval Kishore Chaudhary, Executive Director of the State Health Society, announced on Wednesday, November 4, that the official recruitment advertisement is expected to be released by the last week of November 2026. Preparations for the recruitment are nearing completion, and a detailed recruitment calendar will be issued soon. All appointments will be made at the State Health Society level.

Under this mega-recruitment process, information on vacant posts is being collected from all 38 districts of Bihar, including district-level health institutions, Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), and subdivisional hospitals. The first phase will see appointments to over 11,000 positions, followed by a second phase to fill other vacancies.

Chaudhary stated that the department aims to complete the selection process, document verification, and issuance of appointment letters within 6 to 7 months of the advertisement's release. This recruitment is expected to bring significant improvements to Bihar's health services, increasing the availability of healthcare workers at block and panchayat levels and providing better facilities to patients. It also offers a substantial employment opportunity for young people.
