Monsoon has become fully active across Bihar, bringing significant rainfall to various parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, Patna and eight other districts have experienced substantial rainfall, providing relief from the heat but also leading to waterlogging in some areas.

The most alarming situation has been reported along the Kosi River, where river erosion has caused at least six houses to be submerged. This incident occurred in areas where rising water levels have accelerated erosion. Local administration is working to evacuate affected families to safer locations and provide them with necessary assistance.

Furthermore, dense clouds are hovering over Begusarai and four other districts, indicating a high probability of more rain in the coming hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for an additional 18 districts, including warnings for lightning strikes. Residents are advised to stay in safe places during adverse weather and avoid open fields or standing under trees during thunderstorms.

While the rains are beneficial for paddy cultivation, there are concerns about potential crop damage due to waterlogging in some low-lying areas. The state government has instructed all district magistrates to be prepared for any monsoon-related emergencies, and disaster management teams are on high alert for relief and rescue operations.
