The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has released the final results for the Bihar Police Special Branch Constable recruitment. A total of 83 candidates have been selected for these posts, comprising 52 men and 31 women. These selected candidates will now proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process, which involves document verification and appointment procedures.

According to the information released by the Board, the document verification and appointment process will take place between October 25 and November 20, 2026. It is mandatory for all selected candidates to be present during this period.

In this recruitment drive, 35 percent horizontal reservation was implemented for women who are permanent residents of Bihar. This reservation was applicable in both reserved and unreserved categories. As per the recruitment details, all reserved posts for women have been filled, and no vacant positions have been carried forward to the next recruitment cycle.

Along with the final results, details of the marks obtained and dates of birth of the last selected candidate for different categories have also been provided. This cutoff helps in understanding the minimum score at which the final selection occurred in each respective category. In cases where two or more candidates had the same total marks at the cutoff, the date of birth was used as the tie-breaker, with older candidates being given preference. Therefore, not only marks but also date of birth played a significant role in determining the final selection in some instances. Cutoff details for the special category of descendants of freedom fighters have also been provided.
