The Bihar Education Department has introduced a significant change in the leave rules for teachers across the state. Henceforth, all teachers in Bihar will be required to apply for leave online. Under the new regulations, teachers must submit their leave applications, including casual leave (CL), medical leave (ML), maternity leave (ML), and other types of leave, through an e-portal or mobile application. Once submitted, the concerned headmaster or competent authority will approve or reject the application online. This system will digitize leave records and reduce human intervention.

This change is intended to minimize inconvenience for teachers and make leave management more efficient. The department believes that this will save teachers from repeated visits to administrative offices, allowing them to focus more on their classes.
