Good news for candidates preparing to become government teachers in Bihar. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has extended the deadline for online applications for the School Teacher Recruitment Examination TRE 4.0. Candidates can now fill out the application form until November 3, 2026, while the last date for submitting the application fee is November 2, 2026.

A total of 33,320 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive, an increase from the initial 32,388. Later, 493 posts were added for secondary schools and 439 for higher secondary schools, leading to the increased total vacancies. The commission has issued a notice under advertisement number 15/2026 regarding the extension of the application deadline. For the application process, candidates must first open the TRE 4.0 recruitment registration link on the BPSC website. After completing registration with the required information, they need to log in, fill out the application form, and make the online payment of the prescribed fee. The application fee is Rs 100. If a candidate applies for more than one category of posts, they must pay a separate examination fee for each category. Online payment can be made via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
