Significant irregularities have come to light in the appointment of disabled candidates from outside Bihar under the disabled reservation quota in the BPSC TRE 2 and 3 recruitment for primary and middle schools in Bihar. Investigations revealed that disabled candidates residing outside the state were appointed as school teachers with only 82 marks, whereas a minimum of 90 marks was required for their category. This discrepancy was uncovered during the verification of CTET results and the BPSC school teachers' folders.

In Muzaffarpur district, several cases have emerged where disabled teachers were appointed with scores of 81-82. The DPO Establishment has sought clarification from these teachers. Previously, similar irregularities were found in the appointment of women from outside the state under the women's reservation, leading to the initiation of dismissal procedures for over a dozen such female teachers. Now, a similar fraud has been exposed in the disabled reservation category.

Such teachers have been identified in various blocks, including Gayghat and Kurhani. For instance, a teacher appointed at Upgraded Middle School Sakadwaranur in Gayghat was found to have passed the January 2021 CTET exam with 82 marks under the disabled quota and is a resident of another state. Their selection for classes one to five was deemed irregular by the DPO. Similarly, teachers from Upgraded Middle School Gangaraha and Upgraded Middle School Balour have also been asked for clarification. Two such teachers were also found in Kurhani schools.

DEO Kumar Arvind Sinha stated that all reservation quotas for teachers appointed from outside Bihar are being thoroughly investigated, and the process of terminating the services of these teachers will be initiated soon.
