The application process for the fourth phase of Bihar Teacher Recruitment (BPSC TRE 4.0) is set to commence on September 25, 2026. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a new notice, announcing the cancellation of the previous advertisement. Applications will now be invited under the new advertisement number 15/2026 for a total of 32,388 teaching positions.

According to the updated notification, candidate selection will now be based on a single examination. However, negative marking will be implemented, with 1/3rd of a mark deducted for each incorrect answer, and also if no option is chosen. This year, candidates appearing for STET (STET) 2026 will also be eligible to apply, provided they qualify the STET examination.

The important dates for application are as follows: online applications will begin on September 25, 2026, and the last date to apply is October 26, 2026. The deadline for submitting application fees is October 25, 2026. This recruitment drive covers teaching positions for classes 1-5, 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12.

The list of essential documents for application includes Aadhaar card/identity card/driving license, mark sheets and certificates for 10th, 12th, graduation, and post-graduation (as per post), D.El.Ed/B.Ed or other teacher training certificates, CTET (Paper-I, Paper-2) or Bihar STET (for those appearing in 2026), caste certificate (SC/ST/EBC/BC), EWS certificate (dated after April 1, 2026), domicile certificate, PWD/disability certificate, income certificate, passport-sized photograph, and signature. Applicants are advised to prepare all necessary documents in advance and exercise caution while filling out the application form.
