The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has released an official notification (Advertisement No. 28/2026) for the recruitment of 231 Fishery Extension Officers (FEO). Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official BTSC website, , starting from September 24. The last date to submit applications is October 23, 2026. All candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100 online.

Out of the total 231 posts, 96 are for the unreserved category, 23 for EWS, 35 for SC, 2 for ST, 41 for EBC, 27 for BC, and 7 for BC women. To be eligible, candidates must possess a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Fishery Science from a recognized fishery college under an agricultural university approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.

The minimum age for applicants is 21 years. The maximum age limit is 37 years for the unreserved category, 40 years for unreserved women/EBC/BC, and 42 years for SC/ST categories. The age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

The selection process will involve a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks to qualify for the examination.
