The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has commenced the online application process for 787 posts of Touring Veterinary Officer. Successful candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs 53,100 to Rs 1,67,800. To be eligible, applicants must hold a BVSc/BVSc & AH degree from a university recognized by the Indian Veterinary Council.

Out of the total 787 vacancies, 228 posts are reserved for the unreserved category, 55 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 207 for Scheduled Caste (SC), 13 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 195 for Extremely Backward Class (EBC), 78 for Backward Class (BC), and 11 for Backward Class women.

Regarding age criteria, as of August 1, 2026, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 37 years. Age relaxations will be provided for reserved category candidates as per government norms. A non-refundable application fee of Rs 100 is mandatory for all categories of candidates; applications without this fee will not be accepted.

Selection will be based on a written examination and work experience. The written exam will be of 75 marks with a duration of 2 hours. There will also be a negative marking of one-fourth for each incorrect answer.
