A Bihar Police recruit, Rajnish Kumar (24), from Karisowa village in Wazirganj police station area of Gaya district, died after falling from a rooftop during training in Dumraon, Buxar district. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over Karisowa village.

According to his family, Rajnish had joined the Bihar Police about a month ago and was sent to Dumraon, Buxar, for training. On Sunday, around 2 PM, he fell from the third-floor rooftop. Other recruits were resting in their rooms at the time. Rajnish sustained serious injuries and was being rushed to Buxar hospital, but his condition deteriorated en route, and doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Rajnish was the youngest of three brothers. His selection into the police force had brought immense hope to his family and village, who believed it would improve their financial situation. His untimely death has shattered these dreams. When his body arrived in Karisowa village early Monday morning, his family was inconsolable, with his father, Mithlesh Singh, and brothers in deep shock.

The family has raised questions about Rajnish's death and demanded a thorough investigation. They believe that only an inquiry can determine whether it was merely an accident or if there were other factors involved. Villagers stated that Rajnish's last rites would be performed with state honors on Monday evening after his elder brother arrives from Mumbai.
