Student organizations in Buxar staged a strong protest on Friday in solidarity with the ongoing agitation and hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The students vehemently chanted slogans against the central government and the Bihar Education Minister, demanding the latter's immediate resignation. The protest march traversed through the main thoroughfares of Buxar, culminating at the Collectorate, where they submitted a memorandum outlining their demands.

Protesting students highlighted that students nationwide are uniting against the widespread malpractice and corruption in the education sector. Several student organizations are currently on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, seeking justice. Buxar students extended their support to this movement by organizing a local demonstration. They alleged a continuous decline in the education system, jeopardizing students' futures.

Specifically, students raised concerns about alleged irregularities in NEET and other competitive examinations. They stated that incidents of result manipulation and question paper leaks are demoralizing students. They squarely blamed the central government and the state education department for these occurrences. During the protest, students held placards with slogans like 'Education Minister Resign,' 'Stop Corruption,' and 'Give Justice to Students.'

Upon reaching the Collectorate, a delegation of students submitted a memorandum to district administration officials. The memorandum demanded the Education Minister's resignation, along with reforms in the education system, transparency in examinations, and stringent laws to curb malpractice. Students warned of intensifying their movement and organizing larger protests if their demands are not addressed promptly. The demonstration saw participation from members of various student organizations and a large number of ordinary students advocating for change in the education sector.
