Thieves stole fifty thousand rupees in cash from a locked house in Mithila Colony, Danapur, Patna. The incident occurred when the homeowner was away at his ancestral village. Upon receiving the information, local police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.

According to sources, Mr. Vinod Kumar, a resident of Mithila Colony under Danapur police station limits, had gone to his village with his family for a few days. During this period, thieves targeted his locked house. The culprits broke the lock, entered the house, and absconded with fifty thousand rupees in cash kept in the wardrobe.

When neighbors noticed the main door of the house open, they immediately informed Vinod Kumar. Vinod Kumar then alerted the police over the phone, prompting a team from Danapur police station to reach the spot. The police inspected the crime scene and questioned local residents.

Police officials stated that the thieves executed the crime with considerable caution. Other valuable items in the house were left untouched, suggesting that the primary motive of the thieves was solely to steal cash. A case has been registered against unknown perpetrators, and investigations are ongoing. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the thieves and have urged residents to inform their neighbors and ensure robust security arrangements before leaving their homes unattended.
