The Chaitipipar firing incident has stirred significant political controversy, with the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) – CPI (ML) – directly accusing the sand mafia of orchestrating a conspiracy for a massacre. The party has also raised serious questions about the administration's role, demanding an impartial investigation and swift action.

During a press conference, CPI (ML) leaders stated that the Chaitipipar shooting was not merely a routine criminal act but a deliberate strategy by the sand mafia to consolidate its control in the region and intimidate the dissenting public. They alleged that the sand mafia has been involved in illegal mining for a long time and has been targeting those who speak out against it.

Criticizing the administration, the party asserted that timely and stringent action against illegal sand mining and the sand mafia could have prevented the incident. They accused the administration of laxity or complicity, which they claim emboldened the sand mafia to carry out such a major incident.

CPI (ML) has demanded a high-level and impartial investigation into the Chaitipipar firing. They also called for the immediate arrest and strict legal action against all conspirators and members of the sand mafia involved. The party further demanded appropriate compensation for the victims and concrete steps to restore peace and order in the area. They warned that if the administration shows negligence, the party, along with the public, will launch a major agitation.
