In a significant crackdown against child labor, authorities conducted raids and successfully rescued five minors who were being illegally employed. This action was taken under the Child Labor (Prohibition & Regulation) Act, leading to the registration of cases against the operators of five establishments. All rescued children were minors and were found working in exploitative conditions.

A joint team comprising police and labor department officials carried out raids at various locations based on confidential information. During these operations, several establishments were found employing child laborers. Officials stated that these children were being forced to work in inhumane conditions, posing a serious threat to their health and future. The team ensured the safe extraction of the children, providing them with necessary assistance.

The rescued minors were presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). The committee will now arrange for their rehabilitation and education. Additionally, their families will be contacted and sensitized to prevent recurrence of such incidents. The five operators against whom cases have been filed will face legal action under various sections of the Child Labor (Prohibition & Regulation) Act, which includes provisions for fines and imprisonment.
