A major theft has been reported in Darbhanga city, where unknown perpetrators made off with jewellery and cash estimated to be worth around 12 lakh rupees. The incident occurred in the Laheriasarai police station area. Thieves reportedly gained entry to the house through a rear entrance.

According to the victim's family, the culprits broke open a locker inside the house, stealing gold and silver ornaments along with a significant amount of cash. The brazen act has caused considerable alarm among residents, raising concerns about local security.

Upon receiving the information, local police promptly arrived at the scene. They inspected the premises and interrogated family members. Initial investigations suggest the thieves executed the crime with considerable cunning. A case has been registered against unknown individuals, and the police have launched a search operation. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed in hopes of identifying the perpetrators.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to solve the case swiftly. They have urged residents to remain vigilant about their home security and report any suspicious activities immediately. This incident has once again brought the issue of urban security into question.
