गोली लगने के बाद मनोज कुमार जमीन पर गिर पड़े, जिसके बाद अपराधी मौके से फरार हो गए। स्थानीय लोगों ने गोली की आवाज सुनी और मौके पर पहुंचकर मनोज कुमार को खून से लथपथ पाया। आनन-फानन में उन्हें दरभंगा मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल (DMCH) ले जाया गया, जहां उनकी हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है। डॉक्टरों की टीम उनके इलाज में जुटी हुई है।
