A two-day job fair for unemployed youth was organized at Janta Koshi Mahavidyalaya, Biraul campus, in Darbhanga's Gaura Bauram assembly constituency. The first day, Saturday, saw a massive turnout of young people. The fair, held on September 19th and 20th, attracted a large number of young men and women from Gaura Bauram as well as seven other districts, including Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Motihari, and Supaul. On the first day, hundreds of candidates registered for various job opportunities.

The job fair was inaugurated by Gaura Bauram MLA Sujeet Kumar. He stated that the event was organized with the spirit of 'Yuva Shakti - Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Youth Power - Self-reliant India), aiming to provide youth with job opportunities, career guidance, and skill development information. Several companies from Bihar and other states are recruiting for various positions, catering to candidates from 10th pass to ITI and diploma holders. Companies are offering salaries ranging from Rs 12,000 to Rs 50,000 per month, and selected candidates will receive offer letters.

The fair offers opportunities in various sectors such as IT, sales, marketing, technician, healthcare, security, and delivery. Candidates arrived with their resumes and educational certificates, where company representatives provided information on interview processes and available positions. MLA Sujeet Kumar mentioned that this fair is part of the 'Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Resolution Campaign) running from September 17th to October 17th, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. MLAs from Benipur, Alinagar, and Kusheshwar Asthan also collaborated on this initiative. He urged youth to focus on skill development and encouraged women to pursue vocational skills to benefit from employment opportunities. Benipur MLA Prof. Vinay Kumar Chaudhary also lauded the fair as a significant opportunity for young people.
