The body of 65-year-old Babu Saheb Sahu, who was swept away after a boat capsized in the Kamala Balan river in Gaura Bauram block of Darbhanga district, could not be found even on Monday, the second day of the search operation. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Akhatbara Ghat, when Sahu was caught in the strong currents of the river.

Following the incident, local residents, along with the Barhgaon police and an NDRF team, immediately launched a search operation. Divers have also been deployed, but so far, their efforts have been unsuccessful. Barhgaon Station House Officer Rahul Kumar stated that the NDRF team continued its search on the second day. However, the strong currents in the river are posing significant challenges to the search operation. Despite all possible efforts by the team, Sahu's body had not been recovered at the time of reporting. The family members are deeply concerned and continue to hope for his return, while villagers also await the recovery of the body.
