Panic spread in Lavani village, under Bahera police station in Darbhanga district, after the body of a 30-year-old youth, identified as Mangnu Yadav, was found under a bridge on Wednesday morning. Mangnu Yadav was the son of Shatrughan Yadav, also a resident of Lavani.

Preliminary observations suggest it might be a case of murder, with the body being disposed of under the bridge. According to reports, Mangnu Yadav had gone to inspect his fields on Wednesday morning. When he did not return after about an hour, his family began searching for him. During their search, Mangnu's slippers and mobile phone were found near the bridge in the field. Fearing the worst, the family members began scouring the nearby bushes, where they discovered Mangnu's body.

The discovery of the body caused immense distress among the family, who then informed other villagers. A large number of villagers gathered at the scene, angered by the incident. They blocked the road with bamboo poles, chanted slogans against the police, and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits. Upon receiving information about the incident, Bahera police station personnel arrived at the scene and tried to pacify the agitated crowd. Police have taken the body into custody and initiated an investigation. SDPO Basukinath Jha and Station House Officer Pankaj Kumar, along with other police forces, are present at the site. Police are questioning local residents and investigating all aspects related to the case. The exact cause and circumstances of the youth's death will only become clear after the post-mortem report is received.
