Following the recent controversy at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, support for Swatantra Bhardwaj has emerged from his ancestral village of Ojhaul, located in the Bahadurpur police station area of Darbhanga district. His family and villagers are expressing solidarity and affection for him. Family members have demanded an impartial investigation, stating that if both parties were involved, then both should be investigated. They have also questioned the charges filed against Swatantra, including those under the POCSO and SC-ST Acts, and thanked those who protested in his support in Delhi.

Villagers in Ojhaul emphasized Swatantra's deep connection to the village, affirming that their love and affection remain with him. Swatantra Bhardwaj's uncle, Ranjit Jha, expressed full faith in the judiciary, hoping that a fair investigation would reveal the truth. He alleged that Swatantra is being harassed due to political motivations. Ranjit Jha claimed that Swatantra spoke about the nation, while during the altercation, the other party made objectionable remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation, and deities, which led to the clash. He further alleged that individuals from various political parties are conspiring to falsely implicate his nephew by applying serious charges like the POCSO Act and SC-ST Act, demanding that the government drop these sections.

Another uncle, Ajit Jha, also called for a fair and proper investigation by the government, insisting that if action is to be taken, it should be against both parties. He declared Swatantra innocent and demanded his immediate release. According to Ajit Jha, action was taken against Swatantra based on a video accusing him of injuring Neeshu's father. He asserted that the injury was unintentional, explaining that Swatantra was surrounded during an ongoing dispute, and an alleged attempt at mob lynching was made. In self-defense, Swatantra reacted, and Neeshu's father sustained an injury from the bangle on Swatantra's hand.
