Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Nishant Sihra conducted a surprise inspection of the Gaighat block office in Muzaffarpur district on Tuesday. During the inspection, he thoroughly reviewed various schemes being run under the Rural Development Department.

The DDC took stock of the progress of schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan, and Viksit Bharat G Ram G. He also reviewed the schemes selected at the block level under Mission Kayakalp.

DDC Nishant Sihra expressed strong displeasure over the slow progress of the schemes and directed the concerned officers and employees to bring about necessary improvements immediately. Noting that not a single new Anganwadi center had been selected in the block yet, he instructed the Child Development Project Officer and Program Officer to identify locations and start the process within two days.

Regarding the slow progress in afforestation schemes under Viksit Bharat G Ram G, Panchayat Rojgar Sevaks were asked to achieve 100% target achievement in all panchayats within two days. Housing supervisors were directed to complete the unfinished houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as soon as possible. Furthermore, block coordinators were instructed to make necessary improvements within a week concerning the slow progress of IHHL geo-tagging and user collection charges under the Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan.
