Kahalgaon MLA Shubanand Mukesh has written to the Bihar Rural Works Department Minister, requesting administrative and financial approval for the construction of two crucial rural roads in the Goradih block of Bhagalpur district. The completion of these roads is expected to benefit approximately 10,000 residents.

The demand originated from an application submitted to the MLA by Rajnish Anand, the Goradih block president of LJP (Ram Vilas), on behalf of the residents of Mohanpur, Murhan, Nadiyawan, and Shalpur panchayats. The application highlighted the severe difficulties faced by these panchayats during the annual floods, which cut off their connectivity to the block headquarters for about two months. This isolation causes significant problems for emergency services and medical access.

The proposed projects include a new 1.5-kilometer road from the main road of Gaunra to the main road of Chakulia Dam, which will be built on government land. Additionally, there is a demand for a road connecting Mahant Baba Sthan to Karu Basa (Fato Basa).

MLA Mukesh stated in his letter that these two roads would provide safe and easy access for about 10,000 people throughout the year. He urged the department to include these projects in its work plan and instruct concerned officials to take necessary action. Residents of the affected panchayats, along with Rajnish Anand, have expressed their gratitude to the MLA for his initiative.
