बक्सर जिले के इटाढ़ी रेलवे गुमटी को दोबारा खोलने की मांग ने एक बार फिर जोर पकड़ लिया है। इस संबंध में कांग्रेस के जिलाध्यक्ष पंकज उपाध्याय ने दानापुर रेल मंडल के डीआरएम से मुलाकात की और उन्हें एक ज्ञापन सौंपा। ज्ञापन के माध्यम से उन्होंने इटाढ़ी रेलवे गुमटी को जनहित में तत्काल खोलने की मांग की है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि गुमटी बंद होने से उन्हें भारी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
पंकज उपाध्याय ने डीआरएम को बताया कि इटाढ़ी रेलवे गुमटी बंद होने के कारण स्थानीय लोगों को काफी लंबी दूरी तय कर दूसरे मार्ग से आना-जाना पड़ रहा है। इससे न केवल समय की बर्बादी होती है, बल्कि अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ भी पड़ता है। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से मरीजों, स्कूली बच्चों और दैनिक यात्रियों को होने वाली असुविधा पर प्रकाश डाला। आपात स्थिति में लोगों को समय पर अस्पताल पहुंचने में भी दिक्कतें आ रही हैं।
कांग्रेस जिलाध्यक्ष ने यह भी बताया कि यह मांग केवल इटाढ़ी के लोगों की नहीं है, बल्कि आसपास के कई गांवों और प्रखंडों के लोग भी इस गुमटी के खुलने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने डीआरएम से आग्रह किया कि वे इस मामले को गंभीरता से लें और त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए गुमटी को जनहित में फिर से खोलें। उन्होंने आश्वासन दिया कि अगर उनकी मांग पर जल्द विचार नहीं किया गया, तो पार्टी इस मुद्दे को लेकर आंदोलन करने को विवश होगी।
डीआरएम ने पंकज उपाध्याय की बातों को ध्यान से सुना और उन्हें आश्वासन दिया कि वे इस मामले को देखेंगे और रेलवे के नियमानुसार उचित कार्रवाई की जाएगी। उन्होंने स्थानीय लोगों की समस्याओं को समझने की बात कही और तकनीकी एवं सुरक्षा पहलुओं पर विचार करने के बाद ही कोई निर्णय लेने का संकेत दिया। इस मुलाकात से स्थानीय लोगों में एक बार फिर उम्मीद जगी है कि उनकी यह पुरानी मांग जल्द पूरी हो सकती है।

The DRM listened attentively to Upadhyay's concerns and assured him that the matter would be reviewed, and appropriate action taken according to railway rules. He acknowledged the problems faced by local residents and indicated that a decision would be made after considering technical and safety aspects. This meeting has rekindled hope among locals that their long-standing demand might soon be fulfilled.
