Durga Hospital in Khizersarai, Gaya district, has been sealed following the death of a woman during an operation. The action was taken two days after the incident, around 11 PM on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Lalsa Devi, a resident of Fatehpur village under Mahkar police station.

According to her family, Lalsa Devi's condition suddenly deteriorated during the operation, leading to her death. Angered by the incident, family members protested for one to two hours, placing the body within the hospital premises. They alleged medical negligence, stating that the doctor and hospital management fled the scene after the woman's death.

Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, the health department initiated swift action. Durga Hospital was sealed under the joint supervision of Dr. Shahrukh Khan, Circle Officer Keshav Kishore, Khizersarai SHO Girdhar Upadhyay, and a team from the health department and police administration. This action was carried out under the directives of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

Authorities have announced that a जांच अभियान (inspection drive) has been launched against unregistered private hospitals and clinics operating in the area. Strict legal action will be taken against hospitals that violate regulations and endanger patients' lives, as well as against fake medical practitioners. This action has caused a stir among illegal hospitals and clinics operating in the Khizersarai region. Station House Officer Girdhar Upadhyay emphasized the necessity of strict legal action against those who play with patients' lives and operate hospitals in violation of rules. Officials have assured a fair investigation into the entire matter and appropriate legal action against the culprits.
