Eight individuals were arrested by the IIT Amhara police station for creating a ruckus under the influence of alcohol in Babhanlai village. Police received information that several people were drunk and causing public disturbance, harassing passersby. Acting swiftly, a team led by the IIT Amhara Station House Officer was formed and dispatched immediately to the scene.

Upon reaching Babhanlai village, the police team identified the individuals causing the disturbance and took them into custody on the spot. All eight arrested persons have been booked under relevant sections of the law. According to the police, the accused were intoxicated and disrupting the village's peaceful environment. Police stated that continuous campaigns are being conducted to curb such activities.

The Station House Officer emphasized that strict action would be taken against those who violate the liquor ban law and create public disorder. He also appealed to villagers to promptly report any person found drinking alcohol and disturbing the peace or violating law and order. Police stressed that public cooperation is essential to maintain peace and order in society. This action is a significant step towards effectively implementing the liquor prohibition law.
